Jerry Barker

Founder & CEO

Dr. Jerry Barker, our CEO holds a PhD in solid state electrochemistry from the University of Exeter. Renowned for his work in electrochemistry and battery technologies, Jerry has extensive experience, including collaborations with Nobel laureates and key roles at BP Solar, Faradion Limited, and Valence Technology Inc. His innovative contributions have notably advanced Li-ion and Na-ion battery technologies, earning him an IBA Technology Award in 2012. He is a member of the UK's Faraday Institution expert panel and an advisory board member for Australia's Stor-Energy. Under his leadership, Redoxion Limited was founded in 2022 to develop sustainable Li-CAM supply chains, guided by his ethos of continuous innovation and strategic insights.

The partnerships will accelerate Redoxion’s core mission: to redefine the manufacture of low-cost and sustainable Li-ion cathode-active battery materials. New funding partner, 24M, is a revolutionary US battery company and MIT spinout, co-founded by Prof. Yet-Ming Chiang based on the SemiSolid™ manufacturing platform. His lecture, titled "New and Sustainable Synthesis Methods for the Volume Manufacture of LiFePO4 and LiFe1-xMnxPO4," promises to shed light on ground-breaking advancements in lithium-ion battery technology.
